This is an Android newbie question related to this thread, so apologies in advance.

I've only ever had a play (for any length of time) with Samsung phones on Android and what makes a lack of phone storage worse is the inability to store many apps on an additional microSD card. They are restricted to be stored on the phone only and cannot be moved.

Is this a Samsung phone architecture choice issue, or a wider Android problem?

Normally I'd agree, but in this case is almost half what's advertised. That's an issue IMO, or at the very least it's something Samsung should make clear when they market the phone.

I agree with your points and it should be made clearer

But why is this only an issue now and why just Samsung

The OS on the S4 is 1GB larger than the S3, where there lots of complaints that the S3 only had 10GB free

My S2 only has 11GB free without any of my data on it, did people complain about this

The 8GB Nexus 7 also had 25% space used by the OS

Hoping someone can answer the question form earlier about the new HTC, curious how much this has free
