Not sure where to post this but I'll try here first.
I have a MacBook Pro (Late 2011) and have connected a Belkin Thunderbolt dock (Original version). Connected to it are 1) Seagate 4TB drive 2) Anker USB 3.0 hub with various devices connected (External USB 3.0 drive, MIDI keyboard, Flash Drives etc.) 3) USB 3.0 card reader
When my laptop wakes from sleep often the external drives are no longer connected and I receive message that drive was incorrectly removed.
Often times when things aren't connecting properly repowering the Thunderbolt Hub fixes it.
Is this normal? I am trying to keep from having to reconnect my external drives so often. Would the culprit be the Belkin? The USB hub? What is the best way to trouble shoot this?
Also I'm not getting faster than 70 MBps read or write speeds on these drives. The Macbook is USB 2.0 but the Thunderbolt Dock should give me much better USB 3.0 speeds, no? Thoughts
Thanks
