Speck's PixelSkin HD Case is, in my humble opinion, the Best iPhone 4 case out there. And I was glad that Speck is now shipping one for the iPhone 5.

But if you need a iPhone 5 case NOW!!!

Try Best Buy. Here's one I found this morning.

I've ordered a few from Amazon to try out. These are the slimmest I could find (at least until the Desmay Slight 5 comes out).

1. Apple iPhone 5 Ringke SLIM Soft Feeling Premium Hard Case : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...SIN=B00993E8B6&linkCode=as2&tag=6458422537-20

2. Anker Glaze Case for iPhone 5: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...SIN=B008WXM43S&linkCode=as2&tag=6458422537-20

3. Photive Natural Slim Fit Case for Apple iPhone 5: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...SIN=B0097BZNPK&linkCode=as2&tag=6458422537-20

4. AViiQ Thin Series iPhone 5 Case (sold out :(): http://www.aviiq.com/collections/iphone/products/thin-series-iphone-5-case

5. Slim Hard Plastic Snap-On Matte Back Case for new iPhone5 5TH GEN (this one is the closest I could find to the Desmay Slight): http://www.ebay.com/itm/230851440663

--

First impressions:

1. Not bad, not as thin as the Desmay Slight (the iPhone 4S version). This one's a "soft finish" or rubbery feel. There's also a non-rubbery one.

2. Meh. TPU case paired with a plastic bumper. I wouldn't consider this one slim at all.

3. I like. Reminds me of the Case-Mate Barely There series.

4. [sold out]

5. The closest I could get to an official Desmay Slight. This very well might be what Desmay will release.

Why do you continue to copy and paste your post in about a dozen threads?

I tried posting links to my thread but the links kept getting mangled. This way I copied the post text to text edit then post it in the other threads.

I had my first real "drop" with this phone. Fall from sternal height (standing) onto a hardwood floor + metal beam. Phone is intact and perfect, case is intact and perfect.

I received my black Rocketfish case and as stated its a nice case. I always liked the Speck Pixelskin HD and this is just like it. Just ordered an orange one for my wife. I think this is the one I will keep.

FWIW, the local Best Buy stores have decent stock (and in a few different colors) of the Griffin Reveal cases for the iPhone 5.

I have an Incase Snap coming in soon and I have a Griffin Reveal on it for the meantime. When my Snap gets here, I'm returning this one to Target.

I bought this case (Cygnett AeroGrip Feel) http://us.cygnett.com/iphone/iphone-5th-gen/aerogrip-form-2.html at my local Fry's. Also picked up the Rocketfish the OP posted at my local BestBuy. The Cygnett feels much nicer if you want some slight 'grip' so the phone doesn't slip out of your hands. It also cost almost $10 less. And the case doesn't cover the glass AT ALL like the RocketFish does. This makes it feel better (don't hit the case with your thumb/finger so much) and it won't interfere with great screen protectors like those from SGP.

Not having used one I can tell you right now that I'm not a fan of the Cygnett. Because it doesn't cover the all 4 sides of the iPhone 5. Also it looks to me it doesn't have a "Lay Flat" design. I guess if you want bare minimum design this might be the case.

Finally took delivery of the Speck PixelSkin HD case and it's a Winner.

RocketFish is no slouch and it has served it's propose as a stand in for Speck.

I'm a big Speck fan too. I just got the new stand up version. Has a neat little pull out tab. You can stand the phone up vertically or horizontally.

Should be good for low light shots when you don't want to use a flash. So many night shots just didn't come out right when I tried holding the iphone up against something for longer exposures. Some of my camera apps have a timer function.

Ordered it directly from Speck Friday night, got here on Monday USPS.

Good to hear. My iphone 4 with the rubberized pixel skin has been spared from harm many times.

All these people whining about scratching. Get a case to not only prevent scratches but to protect your expensive phone. You'll be wanting to sell it in a couple of years for an iphone 6 and want it in good shape. My iphone 4 still looks like it did when I first opened the box, and I don't use screen protectors - hate the feel. Ruins the whole touch screen experience.
