best os for 933mhz iBook G4?

Well i have a 15" MBP, and my brother just gave me his "dead" ibook g4.. (heheh, not going to tell him i fixed it in under 10 mintues) .. i did the "logic board fix" with the pressure trick and the thing runs awesome (running osx 10.4.10 as we speek....errrr.... type)

i was just wondering though... i need to format this thing because my brother had this thing bloated with all kinds of crap... i have retail discs for Tiger, but i was wondering as i believe this came installed from the factory with 10.2, would it be better to install 10.2 or 10.3 (as i have those retail discs also)

... it has 933mhz G4 processor, 14" screen, and 640mb DDR pc2100

im really thinking 10.2 is too old, but didnt know if there is any speed to be gained by loading 10.3 on vs 10.4?

I would probably run linux on it, with the amount of ram, being lower than 1 gig.

Tiger would probably be your best choice. Linux???

Tiger should be fine providing you're not doing any heavy work with it, which you'll probably be doing on the mbp anyway. Even leopard's requirement for PowerPC machines are only 256mb of ram, so tiger should run fine.

Tiger for sure. I'd disable dashboard though since there isnt a whole lot of ram. I wouldnt personally recommend linux because i dont think using a computer should be as hard as it is with linux.

For what its worth, Tiger and Panther run about the same on my G3 iMac in my sig.

just going to use it to take notes at school so i dont have the take my pride and joy (mbp) to school and worry about it..

should run ms office 2004 just fine.... and itunes
