Yes it does it only supports HDR 10. I know as I own the same tv just in a 55" size.
Interesting. They don't mention it on the LG website but do for other models. I'm assuming this is something they retroactively added to sets via a firmware update (heard you can do this with HDR10 but not Dolby).

Don't be too quick to ignore the 'Smart TV' aspect. I have one that has built-in Roku... and am amazed at just how cool that is. The Apple TV appears as a channel making it almost trivial to switch between players. Given that the ATV doesn't have Vudu or Amazon that gives me a really easy way to have it all!
