What's the best training DVD I can pick up so I can start learning Avid?

I did some research and realized the college that I am going to uses Avid for editing and I'd like to to try it out.

I'm downloading Avid Free DV to get accustomed to the App and I'll move on to the academic version of Avid Express Pro.

Well before you get into editing you'll probably wanna shoot like a film to edit
Just something to practice on even if it's like some lame adaptation of a shakespere play or something.

Then you just wanna pick up your copy of avid and play around with it.
All the best training videos are probably listed on avids website if you get stuck.

I don't have any experience with books or classes, but my biggest piece of advice is that Avid and Final Cut have very different approaches to how to do things so when on an Avid don't try and do things "the final cut way" 'cause you'll just get frustrated. Make an "Avid" section in your brain and a "FCP" section in your brain, keep them separate and you'll be okay. :D
