Blank CD is "spat out" without even showing up on the desktop.
What should I do? Help and thanks.

Yes, movie DVDs are accepted, same happens with variety of brands.
Thanks for answer, though.

Blank CD not accepted

Have an old geezer: Dual 500MHz Power PC G4 - Mac OS X 10.3.9 - 896 MB SDRAM
I have gone to System Preferences - Hardware CD - DVD:
"When you insert a blank CD:" 1-Ask what to do.
I have done that, but after a lot of "searching" sounds, the disk is spat out, no icon, nothing.
I have no idea what "resetting the power management unit" is.
Thanks

Blank CD not accepted

Err... It finally dawned on me the G4 I have does not accept blank discs because it does not R/W...
I burned the files on the disk using LaCie with Toast. All is well.
Thanks

Glad you figured it out. Everyone makes mistakes. :) You should consider getting a cheap internal superdrive for that thing...it sounds like you're still making good use of it! :)
