Built in 3g modem? help!

[iPhone 3.0!!!]

today i'm setting off on an ambitious undertaking, building a wireless 3g modem (on the at&t network of course) that would fit into the MacBook airport card slot and act in place of it, therein giving me 3g internet signal anywhere i go. Only problem is, i have no idea how to do this, i was hoping you guys might be able to help

I'd bet he's going to start with something off the shelf as far as the modem itself goes...If not, then I've got nothin'

By available, I guess you mean for internal mounting? There are plenty of USB options out there at the moment.

Start at some of the netbook forums, like eeeuser.com or somesuch. There were a fair number of people who did mods like these on the EeePC, the Dell Mini, the MSI Wind, etc....
