Backlight Bleeding has nothing to do with the backlight itself. LED screen suffer from it too. Its the inability for the LCD to block out the light from the backlight. Heck, the LED cinema display is plagued with backlight bleed because it uses H-IPS panels which are plagued with Quality control issues which seems even more so than S-IPS which wasn't exactly perfect.
