O.K. Fair enough.

Let me repose this question. Does anyone have any info or knowledge such they could predict, with some certainty, the likelyhood of the C2D being less hot, comparable or hotter than the CD?

They are indeed out (have been for a while), and they're the same temperature as Core 1.

I've been hearing they even run a bit cooler.

It has been posted on PCWorld that it runs at the same temperature. The 4MB of cache will increase the performance significantly though.
