iPod touch Can 5th generation iPod touch cases work with 6th generation models?

Are cases interchangeable between 5th and 6th generation iPod touches.

It will fit, but most of the 5th gen have the hole for loop, which the 6th gen doesn't have.

They do fit, but my case seems slightly looser on the 6G than it does on the 5G.

Maybe they shaved a tenth of a millimetre off somewhere.

My iPT5 rubber case fits perfectly over my new iPT6. The only thing is that there is a hole where the wrist strap that I never used used to go. But I don't mind it at all. Now go out and buy your iPOd Touch 6!

I love my Tech21 case for my iPod Touch 5 so it will be great to be able to re-use it.

Nope, they are still on the left side. Pretty much everything is the same on the exterior except for the elimination of the Loop. My 5th-gen case (which was so cheap it didn't even have a cutout for the loop in the first place) fits perfectly fine, and even the volume button "outdents" line up fine.

My otterbox prefix arrived today. It snapped right on to my IPT6 and all the cutouts and buttons function. No cutout for the IPT5 wrist strap, which is good, and a tiny built in loop and wrist strap in case I want to use one (not likely).
