Cannot update OS on AW8 - "Checking for Update..."

Anyone have any tips? I have rebooted both the watch and phone.
Error I get on the iOS Watch app is "Unable to Check for Update" and cannot update software as not connected to internet, however, I'm on wifi, have full bars and no issues with my internet.

On the watch itself, I can open weather app or calendar or use google maps and have no issues with internet

Any ideas? This is on Watch OS 10.2. Restarted both the watch and phone.

Just finished updating my SE with no issue.

I would think it wouldn't matter, but, on latest iOS? I went through my usual steps of update phone first then WatchOS.
