cd not opening or closing

i have just instaled xp pro sp/2 ,on my intel mac pro , i had problems getting the mouse and the keyboard working , but now they are working , i cant open or close the cd drive , and it wont let me choose what my start up platform is windows /os x , i have to go in and manualy change it in start up disk , once it has booted up , i have instaled the boot camp driver s , but to no avail , not being able to open and shut the drive , that s buging me the most


Any ideas ?

Are you holding down the alt key when you boot your machine up? this usually gives you the option to switch operating systems.

i have to say i have just installed parallels instead of Boot camp and find it much better and easier to operate.. especially the beta version which allows drag and drop between OS's... you can run it on trial keys if you dont want to buy it immediately...
