I just wanted to add to this thread. I downloaded itunes through the MS Store and just couldn't create a symbolic link to my NAS. Tried different variations on the command prompt, read about it on various forums. Then I came across this:
This gentleman created an app that embeds into the windows options and allows for you to create symlinks via simply selecting your source and then pasting the symlink (read the instructions, there a bit more steps than that) but over it was VERY easy to do.
Just a note that the apps sets windows defender off so just proceed ahead. I didn't get any malware or weird network activity after so it seems like a clean piece of software.
