chrome so non-smoot

why is chrome so non-smooth when scrolling almost any site? Safari is smooth as butter

It's hard to say why things are the way they are. It's evidently not using the graphics hardware optimally for some reason -- probably because it's a cross-platform app.

There are plenty of other browsers out there that are better than Chrome -- even if they also use Chromium engine.

Yes, I use safari because chrome is unstable, just wondered why that was the case
