I have my trackpad set to right click on click with two fingers, yet when I do a physical click with one finger near the bottom right corner, it also right clicks. Is this a hardware problem or is there some software setting I'm missing?

Your trackpad recognises clicks that are done in the corners as different. You can right click with the left bottom corner, right bottom etc. You can change what everything does in the trackpad settings.

I checked my trackpad settings and I have nothing set for bottom left and right click...

Maybe there's a mouse settings or something? I remember in my MBP there were settings for the use you explained... Just search better :p I have no mac right now to guide you exactly to the spot, but you'll find it somewhere in the settings.

So I ended up just changing the setting and changing it back...that fixed it. Weird!

That kind of thing seems to be kind of common with OSX... check it, then uncheck to make something work the way it was supposed to in the first place.

Still better than Windows though :)

And no, not trying to start a flame war...
