I have recently noticed that one of the ports on the left side of my MBP 2016 disconnects whenever whatever is connected to it is touched. This gets extremely frustrating when using the display adapter and plugging in a USB stick or other USB device only to have the whole external display image go blank. Is this a sign of the USB-C port failing, or is it loose? I have read that some people had issues with these ports becoming loose, but the port itself is not loose. Also, is this common problem with this machine? I know I can use another one of the four ports, but sometimes I really use them all at the same time.

Same issue and apple just said to send in my mac for repairs again. The port is badly designed with material that will grind away any time something is plugged into it. The 2015 model is reinforced with metal thought, so why did they remove this.
