Could you use a Dell Mini 9 as a HTPC?

I'm in the market for a HTPC and the mini 9 could be a good bargain that could have multiple uses... The only thing is the SSD doesnt have much space. Question is can you steam videos to another laptop like you can with the ATV? This mini 9 would be running 10.6.2 along with my macbook streaming the videoes.
