Hey Guys,

I noticed a small crack at the corner of my macbook a few weeks back [external corner where battery meets], and it has now ended up with a small piece of plastic coming off!!

This has all basically happened due to the battery not fitting correctly and putting pressure on the corner where it is now damaged!

What do you guys think is the best way to approach apple regarding this?? It is obvious that it has not been dropped and also is still clear that the battery corner is rasied and hard up against the area chipped.

Personally I don't believe this is 'cosmetic' and is due to poor workmanship. - what do you think.....

Thanks in advance for the advice.

BTW bought the Macbook end of June.

I am away at the moment and don't have my cables with me for my camera....

The battery creaks as well when pushed in!!

Anyway, I was going to call applecare, just any tips on getting this sorted rather than having them palm it off as cosmetic [which it certainly isn't].

Will try and sort pics out if I can get a cable.

Cheers
