Hi, I have been trying to add an avatar and it never works or shows. Can someone let me know how they do it?

Eh... I don't quite understand what your edit means, but anyway.

You need 500 posts for an avatar. Read this STICKY for all the info you wanted to know but forgot to look for.

Yep - they don't just hand out avatars to anyone. Become a 6502 and then you'll be entitled to receive one.
