Deleted fonts but they are still in my character lists in illustrator and photoshop!!

i was using font explorer and I had a ton of fonts and then just decided to delete them. I deleted the fonts and font x explorer but when I open illustrator I have thousands of dead font names in the list.

When I open font book I only see my system fonts, not the ones i deleted that are all in my character lists for illustrator

How can I go back to my original system fonts that I clearly see in font book so I don't have to go throw dead fonts in illustrator???
