desktop switching sometimes sticks, new feature?

I've noticed that when using 3 fingers on the touchpad to change desktops that is sometimes stops between desktops when I lift my fingers. Before it would always jump to the next desktop.

Is this a new feature, or some bug that stops between desktops? It doesn't lock up in anyway, 3 fingerers will move it left or right without any problem after it's stopped..
