TL-DR - Ordered Macbook Pro 13 8/512 and came with scratches on the display hinge.

I am well aware of this happening on 15", but I haven't witnessed too many on 13" at least on this forum.

My first space grey 13'' tb mbp 16G/500G had a significant nick on the right palm rest.
My replacement had a small chip in the space grey finish on the right palm rest and a small nick on the display edge and on the right, top edge of the base.
I'm still waiting for my second replacement.

My original 2016 non-touchbaar 13" MBP was flawless. I traded that in for the 15" tMBP and that machine was flawless as well. Then, I ended up swapping that for a 13" tMBP and once again The newest machine was perfect as well. And I inspected each machine thoroughly, under bright light immediately after unboxing.

Meanwhile, others are on their 3rd or 4th replacement, all having blemish/scratch issues. I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones.

The only "issue" I've had with any of the machines was a slightly loose Touch ID/power button on the 15".

Mine looks flawless but I didn't give it a once over with a magnifying glass so there may very well be something there that's not obvious to the naked eye..

My 13" was flawless when I got it and it remains that way today; Space Gray.

My 15" is the classic Silver and it was flawless when I received it; remains that way today as well.

The build has been rather impeccable in my experience, although I have had a couple of problems that Apple has gladly fixed for me.

My 13" Space Grey MBP was flawless out of the box. After nearly two months of heavy use, it still looks pretty good; but the rubber feet became worn within a few days of owning the computer.

ALL my MacBooks were flawless - so is the current MacBook 13" TB.

Can you post a photo of this blemish?

Both my 15" were flawless (BTO). I had to replace the first one because of a defective fan.

I too had a defective fan in my 15" BTO. I had mine shipped to Apple and they replaced the fan no questions asked; works flawlessly now!

My 13 TB was blemish free from the factory. Today it slid into my ipad and put a couple small marks on the lid. Bummer, but hey its life.

My 13" nTB (16/512) in silver came perfect without any blemishes or problems. I got it two months ago and it's been running perfect since.

I would have preferred to get mine repaired as well, but they were unable as they didn't have any repair capabilities yet. Hence they replaced the whole unit.
