I like to place certain folders on my desktop during different times to remind me of different projects I need to work on. Whenever I bury the folders within other folders I forget that they are there (out-of-sigh-out-of-mind). Is there a way to group some folders on the desktop so they don't move, almost like what is done in iOS with iPhone and iPad with the way app icons display on the different home screens?

Thanks.

I'd suggest you use aliases to the folders instead of the folders themselves; they should stay where you put them on the Desktop, and the folders can then be anywhere. And after you do what you reminded yourself to do, you can just delete them.
