I really appreciate the iCloud Drive documents and desktop feature of Sierra, but my 2010 MBA is just too slow since the upgrade. Too many beachballs; it's driving me crazy. I was wondering, if I downgraded (while keeping Sierra on my other computer) I could just ignore the local documents folder under El Capitan and use the iCloud drive documents folder instead, but that wouldn't work for the desktop. Is there any way, using simlinks or some other workaround, to get full functionality on my soon-to-be-downgraded MBA, i.e., make files in my iCloud drive desktop folder show up on my desktop?
