Hi everyone, Does anyone know an apple/shell script or free download that would delete all my duplicate jpg's. I have double/triples/quadruples of each pic. Adding up to 10k or so images. Does anyone know why i may have so many besides editing in Iphoto? Any good advice on how i can prevent this from happening again (ie. settings etc) once i get them all cleaned up. I just changed my camera settings to shoot only in RAW form. I imagine this is taking up gigs of unnecessary space. Thanks in advance.

Your best bet would be to leave the duplicates alone. iPhoto stores the original and edited versions of your JPEGs on purpose.

See if you can find a copy of the iPhoto Missing Manual by David Pogue (my library had one). That book did a great job in explaining some iPhoto mysteries, including the reasons for the multiple files.
