Hi All,
My girlfriend's 3G iPod seems to be giving up the ghost in its 18th month.
First off, it started showing the 'do not disconnect' screen, even though it was only disconnected from an audio line. Then, it kept skipping and sticking in songs. Then it reset itself. Now, it's got no songs displaying, it comes up as wrong hardware on her Windows laptop and finally, I can see the icon on my Powerbook and it clearly shows only 9GB left, which means all her tunes are still there, but we can't get to them. Also, it no longer shows up in iTunes on my Powerbook (originally it was Windows formatted but it's never been a problem before).
No Applecare. Purchased in Brisbane, Australia last May.
Is it dead?
