Empty *.sit folder?

When I download HexEdit from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hexedit/hexedit_200.sit?download , the *.sit file is empty when I decompress it. Why? I'm using the latest StuffIt.

Try going into Terminal and ls -la the folder. If the files are listed, then get rid of the .DS_Store file. Finder should then reset the folder's viewstate and your files should be there.

Had that same problem about a month ago, but I can't remember what the .sit file was. Anyway, Terminal came to the resuce.
