I am running 10.2 and I have downloaded the driver for the 1280 Epson. The printer is able to print documents but the driver gives me no advanced options like it used to when I ran the epson driver in 9.2. It seems like I keep getting the apple printer software that recognizes the 1280 rather than the Epson driver that has very advanced print options. Any advice?

Try gimp print http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3
It gives you more options than the epson driver.
