A friend & I both have ipads which we use to chat. This has worked OK for sometime but now when I call him my friend's ipad doe not ring to let him know that I am calling. If he is on his ipad at the time of my call there is no problem as the screen alerts him to my call. I have check his ipad against mine & his settings appear the same. Help.

Settings notifactions go to facetime and make sure you have lock screen on. Tell me how that goes

Hi, Thanks for your suggestion but I had checked that. It is the alert sound that does not work, locked or unlocked it gives you a visual indication of an incoming call but no audible one.

Is the mute switch on on be side of the iPad? Is do not disturb on (you would see a crescent moon next to battery/percentage in the status bar)?
