Fading-out Music in Garageband

If you select the volume control button of the track you want to fade out, that should show you the volume level on the track itself. If you click on where you want to start the fade a small button should appear, now you can drag the volume down to the bottom to fade out the track.
Garageband's help option does a better job at explaining it than me...
