I have been called to a relative's house in a few days with the following mission: network an old mac (unknown) running OS 7 to the latest 15in PowerBook they just purchased. They need some files transfered. I have no idea where to begin in order to get the two comps to see each other; your advice is greatly appreciated.

Both Macs have Ethernet, the owner has a "crossover" cable. Should I still bring my Ethernet hub, or will the cable do?

Thanks, all!
