Okay I have an iMac 17" Core Duo. I've noticed recently that sometimes files will gray out, like I have no permissions to them. Yet, they look fine in Terminal if I check permissions (ls -la). If I log out and back in they're normal. I ran a Repair Permissions yesterday but it happened again today. Additionally, when this happens I can't "get info" on these files or Ctrl-click them. Any ideas? Could the drive be going bad? Seems an unlikely culprit. Maybe a fresh install? I think I restored this user from a Time Machine backup, btw. Thanks!
