First iPhone 5 Unboxing Videos Posted as Reports of Premature Deliveries Begin

Did anyone else notice they already peeled off the plastic before making this video? This is why there were so many bubbles.
Both on purpose and not on purpose some of these forum replies have been the funniest things I have read in a long time.
Ok the phones have shipped and are in KY but I can't presign for anything until I get a shipment notification email. My luck I'll get the email after they attempt delivery Friday and I leave town at 5pm that night. This may suck really bad.
Wow... that "awkward" video got so many negative responses that he closed his YouTube account, lol. Hopefully the internet didn't drive him to suicide.
I'm not even sure which video is creepier... that one, or the T3 iPorn one...

I've never quite gotten the whole unboxing video thing. Is it tech porn? Is it instructions on how to open a box? Is it to show off what's inside the box for people who can't read?
Why would anyone sit down and make one of these videos, and why would anyone want to watch one?
I'm pretty sure if I got an early delivery on an iPhone or whatever, I wouldn't turn on my video camera, I'd rip the box open and start playing with my new toy right away. Maybe I'd brag about getting an early delivery on these forums, but that'd be the extent of it, and only after I'd sufficiently tinkered.

I still have not even received my tracking number. I placed my order at 3:07 a.m. EST on 9/14. My order status says, "Preparing for Shipment."
Im in Canada and my order says "Preparing for Shipment" as well and I ordered mine at 00:22 PST on September, 14.
I called Apple today and they said phones ordered within roughly the first 40 minutes of pre-order will ship on the 21st regardless of shipping status if you are in the 21st shipping zone map http://store.apple.com/ca/help/shipping_delivery#delivery_date. He said likely courrier has already picked up and is nearby or enroute.
I think it may be a possibility they don't show shipping information so people aren't calling up the courriers trying to pick it up at a nearby depot before release or call overload on courriers.
Hope that helps im anxious too!
First video - Don't they have power bricks in the UK? That European standard has not only eliminated the 30 pin Dock Connector, it's eliminated the power brick, too.
