Fontstruct (DIY font design)

    I'm not sure whether anyone has played with this yet, but I've just been reading about it. It's a browser-based tool to design a character set. I haven't tried using it; the last time I designed a typeface was about 25 years ago with draughting tools and ink.

    So, it may not be the most exacting and professional type design tool but if it turns someone to type design, or comes in useful for a project, that can only be a good thing. :)
