I have some flash video files that I want to convert to quicktime for editing in final cut pro. I found a program called cinemaforge, but it's only for windows.

Are there any free Mac equivalents?

And while I'm at it, I can't seem to find a player that will play these files, what's a good flash player for Mac?

A second enthusiastic thumbs-up for iSquint. Further, it's free, it's drag and drop simple, it's fast, and it's never failed to spit out a regular mpeg4 conversion of an flv file.
