iPod Funky iPod Photo

i noticed that if you apply album artwork to a song within itunes and then manually transfer it over to the ipod photo.. it shows up in the ipod just fine.. however.. if you transfer a song to the ipod photo with no album art, but then add in the artwork to that song while its in the ipod via manual mode, the artwork will not show up.. any work around for this?

You have to drag the song to your iPod's library again, or drag the playlist over the iPod's old playlist again.

Why not just use autosync? Then you wouldn't have to put up with dragging and dropping everytime something changes.
