Is it possible to reuse a jumper block when upgrading a processor? Taking a look at one, it seems like the jumper pins can be manuvered around to whatever multiplier you need fairly easily but the sites I have read about the subject make it seem that once the jumper is set at something, that is all she wrote and I need to go buy pins from the local Radio Shack.
Second, I bought a 500 Mhz G4 processor upgrade for my Beige G3 and would like to stick it in a B/W G3. Is this possible with the 66/100 Mhz system bus difference? I know I was asked which machine I owned when I bought it but I am not sure if it was for a system bus issue or for the jumper block (or both). Just curious as I know there was an issue with some G4 machine processor swaps being impossible.
