If you've got a 'Yellow' shot that was taken outside the July 2006 Assignment thread period (8-31 July 06), post it in this thread.

Here's one to start with...

Gorgeous! Don't suppose you have a bigger one lying around? I wouldn't mind trying it as a wallpaper on my iMac.

Thanks :)

Be happy too, just have to figure out how since the forum limits us to 244 Kb, could e-mail the full res if you want to PM it to me, it's about 3.5 Mb?

Here's mine. The original is a lot better, its so crisp. But had to reduce it to fit on here.

It was taken by mistake, I'm not sure if its visible here, but the crispness of the yellow penetrates past the green and white of the other flowers in the original. I also like the way everything but the yellow is slightly blurred.

Nice mistake. The exposure and focus on the yellow flower is great, what camera did you use?

Not sure if this will work, but it is suppose with a RSS browser like Safari? It is 50% but still plenty big.

Taken while at college. Unfortunately, all I had was a little 2MP point-and-shoot at the time, and it was so cold that I could barely hold the camera still enough to take the picture (it was somewhere below 0° F), but I liked how the yellow from the lights was basically the only color in the whole thing.

the full moon had the same color as the street lights. 2 sec. exposure on a sony dsc-p150 point and shoot. i took it yesterday but since the color is not yellow enough i submit it only here and try something else for the assignment.

I posted a similar picture on the "Picture of the Day" thread, and someone suggested I should look over at the "yellow" assignment, so here's a similar one -

I'm not sure if I should put this in the assignment section, since it's not that focussed on yellow. It was taken at sunset (obviously) in Biarritz last week.

sunflower house

Hey all, although the yellow wasn't the focus of the picture, the massive field of sunflowers was what got my attention and got me off my bike. It was somewhere in texas over this past summer. The yellow in sRGB might be a little over the top, it's not quite that saturated looking in prophoto.

Sean

How could I miss this thread about me!?

All point & click shots. Wish I had the cash for a DSLR. There's a lot of great shots here in this thread.

1) Me. yellow.
2) A yellow hibiscus out front of Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, RI.
3) A yellow african lilly in front of my house in Nowhere, NC.
