so with the new ipods ability to handle video i need to know, can you change dvds into a format recognized by the ipod? you can for the psp with various programs, xcopy9 (http://psptransfer.com/) comes to mind, but i want to be sure before i order one. cuz you know its a lot of money, thats like 3 weeks gas! (okay its not $10 a gallon yet, emphasis on the yet)

I don't know for sure, but would DVDxDV do the trick (www.dvdxdv.com)?

I haven't used this software, but I might end up getting it if it will work for this purpose...

Use above poster's linked app's and make sure that you encode by the iPods standard. This can be found out on the iPod page of apple.com under tech specs :)
