It seems like there are a thousand Photoshop books out there. Any advice on a decent one to buy? I already know it fairly well, but am looking to learn a lot more for an upcoming job. I'm fairly adept at After Effects (used the Meyer's books) and Illustrator. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anything from Peachpit Press is great.

They have three series of their own, plus they also work on Adobe's Classroom in a Book series.

Visual Quickstart Guide is great for beginners.

The RealWorld series is for intermediate users.

Wow! books are for the advanced.

I think "How to cheat in Photoshop" by Steve Caplin (Focal Press) is a great book!

I have used Photoshop for many years, but I still learned a lot of new stuff from this book. And, it’s fun to read! :)
