Hello handbrake users,

every once ina while, handbrake never seems to finish compressing a dvd. it just stays at 100%, eta 000000... but if i try to quit it askss if i would like to cancel encoding, when i try to open the file it says there is an error trying to open the move.

my girlfriend's handbrake experiences similar problems, any suggestions?

You have to wait until handbreak says done. Even when it says 100%, you still have to wait for the done message.

You have to wait until handbreak says done. Even when it says 100%, you still have to wait for the done message.
That wait time past 100% may be as long as 5 minutes sometimes. It depends on the length of the encode. a 30 minute encode will say DONE in only a few seconds after. A 2 hour encode may take 5 minutes to say DONE. Be PATIENT and don't quit.

Also, Sometimes Handbrake will spontaneously Quit near the end of an encoe. In that case you have to start over and it almost always will complete on the second try.
