I have the original 10gig drive and will be installing an additional 40gig drive. My goal is to have OS9* on the 10 and installing OSX
on the 40.

How do I partition it? Right now I have classis and OSX on one drive,

Personally, I would keep it all in one partition. You could check into putting the swap area onto a separate partition, but you've probably been okay with virtual memory as is.

I would reccomend against partitioning too, it really gives you no advantage anymore if you are just going to be using classic every now and then.
If you still want to partiton, you will want to boot from a system cd and open disk utility off the disk (in os x it is under the "Installer" menu, and in 9 it is in the utilities folder on the disk)

Beware that partitioning destroys all data on the hard drive.
