    AHHHH im freaking out,
    my macbook pro is liek a week old....

    why cant i update the software, im the only user onthe machine and it says i dont have permission to write folders and crap
    whatt do i dooooooo????

    Quit, Repair Permissions using Disk Utility, try again.

    can anyone explain why that even happend? i guess it matter less because its workign now, but thats scary...
    is there a prgram that changed it? whats going on????

    You should do it about once a month just like defrag on a windows machine

    Really isn't a big deal...

    Doing a Repair Permissions using Disk Utility is the one maintenence utility you need to perform on your Mac occasionally.

    Nothing is perfect your Mac included, occasionally processes get scrambled requiring a restart or maintenence utility.
