When I try and install Gimp on OS X, it says I need X11 installed.

I read its on one of the two apple installer cds that comes with your Mac. However, the only thing I saw that was X11 on the cds was "X11 SDK"... So I installed X11 SDK and Gimp still says I need X11 installed.

Could someone help me out here?

Thanks!

Thanks for the screen shots...

This was plain of me, but I simply didn't scroll down when the window with the cd contents came up. Usually its the simple things that stump us :p

I didn't care for Gimp, so I may try and find that thing that will skin Gimp to look like and act more like Photoshop CS. If not, I'll just get CS 3 when the Universal binary comes out next year.

It should be under your Optional installations for OS X.

GIMP is a really good application, it's just as user-friendly as photoshop is. You just installed it earlier today, don't dismiss it already. Give it a chance. The difference between GIMP and photoshop won't be what gives you good results, it's the experience.
