What is roaming?

at&t does all its roaming (within the US) transparently, so you are always charged the same rate, anywhere in the 50 states.

or AT&Ts favorite solution to any phone issue;
Turn the power off, remove the battery and wait 1 minute.
Put your phone back together and hope it works :D

GSM works differently - you don't have to manually update for PRL functionality. Updates are automatically pushed to your phone when turning it off then on, or other times when the network sends them.
