How long does imaging the drive usually dake (Using dd)

I'm doing the initial image of the drive using:

dd if=/dev/disk5 of=/Users/tom/AppleTVDrive-Compressed.img bs=1024k

It's been about 2 hours...how long does this usually take?

I saw here:

that his took 32,511 seconds, which is just over 9 hours.

Is this accurate? Normal?

To answer myself, it took about 2 hours...
