Once upon a time, I accessed a website via Safari on my iPad, and accidentally hit "Never Save" . . . . I've now been able to have that password remembered when accessing the site on my Mac, but not when I access it from my iOS devices . . . I've looked in keychain and there is a record there for this site.

It appears that once you hit Never Save in iOS Safari, there is no way to undo the selection.

A full clearing of website data and history in Safari iOs hasn't worked. Does anyone have a PROVEN resolution (no guessing please) . . .

Highlighted emphasis is google's not mine. The first sentence is relevant to the issue though.

I haven't tried this myself as I use a third-party password manager and never save password to Safari on iOS or macOS but it looks like a solid lead.

Article link.

There's a few other good leads from Google. Here's a start: ios safari "never save password"
The consensus seems to be that it can only be done from macOS.

Good luck.
