Doesn't wifi work the same regardless of which carrier is used? If that's correct then the case is bad news because it killed the wifi on that phone 100% so the carrier doesn't matter much. Your still gonna get the same outcome when it comes to the wifi. Just my 2 cents.

just like all aluminum cases it will effect the signal in some way. not until it makes it to the US will we see how it performs on our providers. Anyway it provides no lay on table design which is a little odd to me.

Thought about backing it then saw d4 and bought it. Since it looks gorgeous I was still interested however then saw the signal strength and wifi test video then went meh...I'm not pledging. If it degrades wifi, then there's no question for me. :(

I just canceled my pledge with them. Don't want to take a chance on spending 65.00 for something useless. I'm happy with my setup.

yes wifi systems are the same in the phone, the router used to send the wifi signal is not the same. sometime i can sit 1 foot from my router and not get full wifi bars. I have tested many aluminum cases and haven't had one that killed the wifi like that and not the reception bars more then it showed. I was just pointing out that all aluminum cases effects reception differently depending on what area you live in. I will not be purchasing this one, just not my type of design.

I also canceled my pledged with them, after a friend said to me, "Why get an iphone4 if you wanted a 3gs design".

Why the heck is this thing $65?

Heck the clone cases I have seen out of china significantly cheaper.

Thread starter - RETRACTION

EDIT (ON JAN 18, 2012):Ok, I feel compelled to edit this post after reading through the kickstarter comments. It's quite startling to see how rude the makers of this product are. Every question dealing with signal loss is deflected. I would think that someone buying an aluminum case would expect some signal loss, but there's no excuse for their actions. Also, this blog post is going around on a bunch of tech blogs.

http://a.wholelottanothing.org/2012...rst-project-i-ever-funded-on-kickstarter.html

I feel a little responsible since I posted one of the first threads about it. Apologies. Full disclosure - I didn't contribute to the funding, I ended up with a Graft Concepts case which I'm quite happy with even though the power button fell off.

For the 10 millionth time. Wrapping an antenna in metal will degrade the signal. It's been proven over and over again.
