Got my order of 256 megs of memory today from Coast to Coast. Installed it, and its not showing that its there on my 1 ghz iMac. It's in correctly, clicked down and into place, and its the correct memory...so what gives? Unless I can shove it in further sideways I think it's in as far as I can go. I made a mistake the first time of nto pushing it down far enough past the tabs but now I got that. Anyone got any ideas or past experiance doing this.

I just don't get it....

If you didn't push it all the way down, then turned it on, all the connectors might not have been touching, and it might have shorted out. You might have fried it.
